In 1984, a TV series debuted that would changed a generation forever. Kids already loved robots. They already loved cars. But robots that turned into cars?!?!?! What madness is this?

Thirty years later and the brand is surprisingly going strong. Interest in Transformers had been petering out for a while until Michael Bay got his hands on it and turned them into the most profitable movies ever. And now Transformers are a big deal. No longer a niche hobby, it’s now one of the most recognizable brands with several different types of series and a crazy mythology that includes robots the side of planets and alternate dimensions that have an evil Optimus Prime. And to think, back in the day we though having Aerialbots and Protectobots and Terrorcons and Combaticons and Stunticons was complicated.

There’s a lot of fun to be had with Transformers, from the young to the young at heart. Let’s talk Transformers, from the toys to the movies to the cartoons. (Maybe not so much the video games.)
